Tapestry Music Theatre was the only Canadian theatre company that specializes in the creation, development, and production of contemporary Canadian operas. With a 20 year track record in the theatre world, they had a strong industry reputation, but had trouble with public misconceptions on what "they do".

The new name Tapestry New Opera Works clearly communicates their role to both the media and general public while the new logo helps reinforce their “R&D” aspects.
